What if you had to fight those pesky White Walkers all night, every night? Enter Age of Darkness: Final Stand. This survival game poses one question- what would happen if the people in Game of Thrones never won The Long Night and were forced to spend eternity fighting against a force they couldn’t defeat until their inevitable deaths.
“When starting development we were inspired by the Game of Thrones episode ‘The Long Night’,” explains James Berkelmans, one of the game’s designers.
“The whole idea being that when night came you had to hold your ground against a large horde of enemies, that’s where the idea of our death nights started.”
Age of Darkness is more than just a survival game, it’s an immersive experience that will test your mettle and push you to the limits.
As guardian of the last city, every decision matters as everything rests on your shoulders alone in this age-old conflict between good and evil. With day/night cycles that are completely based around how they affect gameplay decisions (building up resources during daytime vs exploring for them at night), Age of Darkness will have players balancing their time wisely or risk losing all they’ve accomplished because there can only be one winner!
